The ACEA is the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association, which calls itself “the voice of the EU auto industry” and unites Europe’s 15 major car, truck, van and bus makers. It publishes really excellent data on European car registrations. The data for calendar year 2025 was published at the end of January and can be read here.

Below are my first thoughts on the numbers:
