The first Semicast analysis of the driver monitoring systems strategy for Stellantis presented in July concluded that Stellantis was using two different algorithm vendors. Based on the illumination strategies seen, the assumption was the suppliers were Seeing Machines and Smart Eye.

Revisions to the conclusions based on additional research now point to the DMS developers shown here being Seeing Machines on the left and Asaphus Vision on the right. Seeing Machines acquired Asaphus from Valeo in July 2024 and Valeo is assumed to be the tier 1 supplier of both systems shown.

No visual evidence of Smart Eye DMS in any Stellantis model at start of production has so far been found, but this may change in the coming quarter as every OEM races to bring models to production featuring DMS ready for the coming changes in 2026.
