Tobii has released its 1Q 2026 results, in tandem with a headline-grabbing press announcement of a DMS win for premium, high-performance road cars, and an extended DMS win to a new commercial vehicle platform. In the Q&A the CEO declared “these wins are not expected to be financially meaningful.”

On the same day, Seeing Machines also released its KPIs for 1Q26 (Jan-Mar). The vehicles on road totals for Tobii, Seeing Machines and Smart Eye stand roughly as follows at the end of first quarter:

  • Tobii: 1M+ (using a very flattering definition, discussed below)

  • Smart Eye: 4M+ (includes DMS in cars)

  • Seeing Machines: 6M+ (includes DMS in cars)

Let’s dive further into the Tobii details.
