Unpicking the BMW iX3 DMS Design Win
Just because an OEM nominates a large, stable, supplier as a DMS software tier-1, doesn’t mean it gets to start-of-production with that large, stable supplier.
The BMW iX3 “Neue Klasse” was officially launched at the IAA Mobility show held in Munich, Germany in early September. BMW stole the show with its new model launch, aided by some hefty marketing muscle from Qualcomm, which used the show to also launch its Ride Pilot automated driving stack. Below is Qualcomm’s Automotive SVP Nakul Duggal on stage at IAA making the announcement.
